I’ve been looking for a resource that actually makes cognitive flexibility accessible for my first graders, and this unit plan’s imaginative play prompts are exactly what we needed. The kids are already coming up with their own solutions during free play.
This unit plan finally got my kindergarteners to engage in imaginative play without me having to prompt them every five minutes. The cognitive flexibility lessons really helped them transition between activities more smoothly.
My third graders were struggling to think outside the box, but the imaginative play activities in this unit turned things around quickly. I love how the cognitive flexibility exercises get them to approach problems from fresh angles.
I was looking for something to help my students think more flexibly, and the cognitive flexibility exercises in this unit did exactly that. The lesson supports are well-organized and easy to adapt for different age groups. My class was genuinely engaged with the creative challenges.
The imaginative play prompts got my students thinking in ways I hadn't seen before, and the cognitive flexibility section was a lifesaver for my lesson planning. Really solid unit that made creativity feel structured without being stifling.
My third graders were completely absorbed by the imaginative play activities, and I loved how seamlessly it wove in cognitive flexibility. The structured lesson supports made it easy to adapt for different skill levels, and we saw real growth in their creative thinking by the end of the unit.
I’ve been using this unit to spark more open-ended play with my kindergartners, and the focus on cognitive flexibility is exactly what they needed. The lesson supports are laid out so clearly that I can adapt them on the fly.
My six-year-old was having trouble with rigid thinking, and this unit’s imaginative play prompts gently nudged him to try new approaches during our afternoon activities. The lesson supports are laid out so clearly I didn’t need to prep anything extra.
Finally, a unit plan that actually values cognitive flexibility over rote memorization. My students loved the imaginative play prompts for creative problem solving.
The guided play activities saved me prep time while still challenging my students to think flexibly. I've already seen more original ideas during our morning meetings this week.
