My students really connected with the part about welcoming all emotions, not just the happy ones. The discussion prompts built genuine empathy in my classroom faster than any other resource I've tried.
My fifth graders were really engaged with the activities about naming their feelings, and I’ve seen them use the vocabulary from the empathy exercises naturally during recess. The PDF includes clear discussion prompts that saved me so much prep time.
My students really connected with the lesson on welcoming all their emotions—it opened up some honest class discussions we hadn't had before. The resilience activities are practical and easy to adapt for different grade levels.
