The little card came in handy the night before my son’s first solo sleepover—we read the message together and it gave him the words to say “I’m scared” without shutting down. He kept it in his pocket the whole next day, and that small act of carrying it seemed to make the whole thing feel doable.
My daughter clutched this during her first solo sleepover and I could see her working through the nervousness. The card's message about emotional courage made her stop and take a breath before she walked in. Such a simple tool for such a big milestone.
The little card has become our goodbye ritual—she holds it tight before preschool and I can see her puff up just a bit. It's such a simple thing, but it genuinely helps her name the nervous feeling instead of melting down.
