The board book's sturdy pages have survived dozens of reads, and my kid actually sits still when we get to the part about big feelings being okay. It's opened up real conversations about being sensitive that I didn't expect from a picture book.
My three-year-old asks for this one every night before bed, and I love how it turns big feelings into something brave instead of scary. The message about sensitivity being a gift really landed with my kid, and the story gave us a way to talk about her own tough moments.
The pages are sturdy enough for toddler hands, and the story really opened up a conversation with my four-year-old about why feeling deeply isn't a weakness. I teared up a little myself when Ibex finally shares those big feelings. This one's a keeper for bedtime.
