The cards are sturdy enough for my rambunctious five-year-old, and the prompts that focus on body language have been a great way to get him out of his shell. We've turned it into a bedtime ritual, and he actually asks to play it now.
My daughter's therapist suggested acting out emotions physically, and this deck is perfect for that—the cards make it a game instead of a lecture. We've gotten through some big feelings just by having her show me what "frustrated" looks like with her body.
We've been using these to help my five-year-old name his big emotions, and the body-language prompts actually get him acting them out instead of melting down.
