The illustrations are gorgeous and the story about handling boredom actually got my little one talking about what to do when they're bored. It's a rare board book that teaches emotional regulation without feeling preachy. We've already read it three times today.

My kid actually asked to read it twice in a row, which never happens. The way it frames boredom as a chance to get creative really clicked with him, and I love that it tackles emotional regulation without being preachy.

The pages are thick enough that my three-year-old can turn them herself, and the way it frames boredom as a spark for creativity actually changed how we talk about quiet time at home. It’s become our go-to when she’s restless, and I’ve noticed her inventing little games on her own afterward.
