My toddler asks for this book every single night now—the way it shows Otter’s caregiver being so patient and warm has clearly stuck with her. The board pages have survived some serious chewing and page-turning abuse, which I appreciate.

The illustrations are so warm and expressive that my little one actually paused to study Otter's face before turning the page. I love how the caregiver's reaffirming presence comes through in every scene, it's become our go-to bedtime wind-down book.
